20/09/03 De Smet Group : Meeting Crushing and Refining needs
The De Smet Group is implementing 75 projects around the world.

In crushing, large capacity plants are under construction in Brazil, Costa Rica, Egypt, India, Iran, Portugal, Thailand, the United Arab Emeirates and the US.

In refining, plants are under construction in Angola, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jamaica, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, Peru, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Tanzania, Turkey , Ukraine and the US.

Twelve Qualistock® continuous deodorisers have already been started successfully and the market has also reacted very positively to :
  • Dimax® DT
  • Statoliser® fractionation, achieving very high yields on palm kernel oil.
  • Sublimax® ice condensing , selected by all major world accounts like Cargill, Unilever, Karlshamns, Central Soya, etc.
  • Cobustripp® cocoa butter stripping, adopted by 3 major cocoa butter processors.
  • Fidetox® detoxification process for fish oil, operational in 3 plants in Denmark and United Kingdom.
